Finding Out Our Son has an Egg Allergy

We just found out my young son has an Egg allergy. I am doing my research and finding out he should not have eggs at all so we are going on an adventure as a family going egg-less. We have gone through our cupboards and pulled everything that has egg, was manufactured near eggs, etc. we have even given away our eggs in the fridge. Yes that even means mayo has to be watched, but we did find some at Macy's that does not have eggs. We knew he had some sort of food allergy but I never expected it to be eggs. So begins our adventure. So we found our mayo at Macy's that does not have eggs. We also found ranch without eggs. We are learning to substitute other materials for eggs. We are reading labels like crazy and learning about what things have eggs. I have been researching things for egg-less deserts. As we continue in this adventure I plan to post things that I find, recipes, and substitutions for eggs. I hope this can be helpful for parents who have kids with egg allergies. I know there are lots of blogs about living with allergies, but this is our adventure and how we experience it and the ideas we come up with. Thanks you for joining in our journey. Alicia
